Records Submission

As the SBP System is essentially an alternate view, a different factoring vs other establish systems for scoring wild turkey gobblers, it is intended as a companion system, in of itself. With that, there are several ways to have your gobbler recognized and included. The initial roll out is for wild turkeys harvested in New York in support of the New York Records book “Empire Limb Hangers” and may expand in the future based on available resources.

Submissions submitted directly are accepted and approved as long as measuring conditions are met, can be verified, and the hunt conducted legally and in keeping with fair chase. See measuring instructions at SBP Measure

There are no fees to submit. A link to a photo/print ready downloadable certificate of your record will be sent via email.

Submissions may also be submitted from Spring /Fall Turkey contests as long as measuring conditions are met, can be verified, and the hunt conducted legally and in keeping with fair chase. There are no fees to submit. A downloadable certificate will be sent via email.

We do not charge a fee for any method of submission. There is no membership offered or required. We do recommend that you donate and support the NWTF (National Wild Turkey Federation) and or TFT (Turkeys For Tomorrow) as members or direct donations that benefit habitat work, research and legislative efforts concerning wildlife initiatives, conservation, and hunter issues. It is honor system only and please give it consideration each time you submit a record entry. As noble and honorable entities benefiting wild turkeys are discovered worthy of our support, we will add them here.

Existing/New NWTF records are recognized as vetted and reviewed. There are no fees to have your NWTF record entry included in our records. When submitting your New York gobbler entry to the NWTF you may also email us at: sbprecords@wildturkeyrecords.com and let us know it has been submitted.
